The sad news below is copied from a post Jack Conrad put on the BCM & BNO forums. It sadly announces the passing of a very good hearted bus nut from Florida and later Tennessee - Dave Hartley, on the forums he was known as Dr. Dave or Dr. Dave Reloaded.
When he left Florida, he bought some land in north central Tennessee (west of Knoxville) with the plans of making it a quiet hangout for bus nuts. But just about that time some major health problems rendered him unable to do much work on it and as medical problems often will these days, also wiped out his financials.
It is with a heavy heart that I start this thread. I just received this email. Dave attended several of the first few Bussin' rallies before moving to Tennessee. Over the years Dave owned (and converted) many buses. He will certainly be missed. Our deepest condolences and prayers to Mary and the rest of Dave's family. I am not going to post Dave's address, but if anyone wants his address to send a card, please email me

"We got a call this afternoon from Leonard Jelkren, who advised he received a call today from Mary Hartley advising that her husband, Dave Hartley, passed away today. She asked that he let the "bus people" know about this, so he called us.
Dave and Mary were members of the Southeast Bus Nuts not too long ago. Dave has been in poor health, plus they had moved from Florida to Tennessee, so they were not able to attend rallies and they dropped their membership in the Bus Nuts.
Dave remained an active poster on the Bus Conversions bulletin board on the Internet, and many people in the bus community know him from that venue."
